Maryliese Happel B.A.
Voice, M.A. Music History and Voice, Mu Phi, NATS, ISM is the director
of The Hap'ning Place and teaches voice. She sings
professionally in Europe and America and has been teaching voice for
several years in London, Vienna and the USA.
Simon Drey B.A., has taught
classical and contemporary guitar for many years both privately and in
schools throughout London. Simon performs most weeks with his bands and
also enjoys teaching. He has had great success with his students in
graded examinations and many of his students go on to play
professionally.
Janet Fischer
PgDip Distinction in Performance
and Professional Studies RNCM, MMus with Distinction in Performance,
RNCM University of Manchester,BMus (Hons)/Grad RNCM University of
Manchester. Janet teaches violin (or fiddle as she says), and
voice. Her extensive performance experience has taken her to
innumerable countries and cities. Janet is also the conductor for the
Chorettes and Expressions.
Klara Kjellén B.A. and M.M.(Hons) vocal
performance, has taught both in Sweden and here in London. Klara
specializes in contemporary music and is also a composer and performer.
She is with Dark Green label and performs with her band Happy Street.
Jennifer Lee
B. Mus (Hons first class) Victoria
University, New Zealand, M.M. and M.M. Piano Performance with
Distinction, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Ph.D in Musical
Arts, Piano Performance. Jennifer grew up in New Zealand and has been
teaching for many years and performs regularly in America, Europe and
New Zealand. Her recent London performances include the Wigmore Hall
and St. Martins.
Jacob Elliott
B.Mus (Hons) is an experienced guitarist and tutor based in North
London.
He
holds a classical music degree in guitar from Goldsmiths College,
University of London, and is comfortable in a wide variety of styles,
be it Jazz,
Rock, Classical, Blues or Folk. Jacob performs with his own band as
well as working as a session musician and a sound engineer.
Patrica
Kusuma B.A. and M.M. graduated with
Distinction with Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Rotterdam and
Utrecht. She has since achieved Masters Degrees and post Masters in
Piano from Guildhall and has been working as a teacher and accompanist
for many years.
Virginia
Rousiamani BA Mus, M.M. piano performance, received her Masters
Degree in Piano performance this year from the Guildhall School of
Music and Drama and previously achieved her BA Mus from York
University. Last year Virgina won first prize at the Panhellenic piano
competition of Rafina. Virginia is also the accompanist for our Summer
Workshops in Greece.
